I rove in VHF and up contests as well in state and regional QSO parties. This talk is part ham travelogue, part technical discussion of mobile/rover setups I use, and part contesting operating discussion. I will cover mobiling in HF state and regional QSO parties, both in NM and surrounding states and roving in VHF/UHF contests and microwave contests. I started roving in VHF contests in 2007 and in state QSO parties in 2011. I will discuss how my mobile and rover station has evolved over that time and show photos that include a sampling of the places I have visited during my mobile contesting.
